Porta Cristo is a fishing village, with a beautiful natural harbour which is one of the biggest on the east coast of the island. This is a quiet resort, so if you are into nightclubbing this is not the place for you. It is a perfect retreat away from all the hustle and bustle of Magaluf and Palma Nova. If you were wanting something a livelier then it is a short taxi journey away from Cala Millor, where you will find a selection of good shops and restaurants. Porta Cristo is popular with couples who are looking for a retreat away from it all, it wouldn’t be suited to anyone who wants an entertaining holiday.

If nightlife is what you want then there is the popular resort of Magaluf, which is best know for its nightlife, and is visited by thousands of party goers each year looking for a good time. There is an array of different bars, from karaoke, Irish to the traditional English boozer where you can get a pint and a cheap shot. There is a beach but it is nowhere near as clean as Alcudia. There is nothing traditional about Magaluf, this is more like Blackpool in Mallorca. It would not be considered as a first choice with many for a holiday home.

These conferences are there simply as a guide to help you choose, make sure you have done your homework on the resort where you intend to live before committing to anything. The conference organisers may offer you the opportunity to buy through viewing the accommodation which they are selling at a particular time.
